OUR BEAUTY ROUND UP OF THE GOLDEN GLOBES 2016
Wednesday 03, 2016

The start of a new year welcomes new resolutions we swear we’ll keep, lots of list making and goal planning, and of course, the highly anticipated award season.

The glittering ceremonies are kicked off by one of our favourites, The Golden Globes. Attracting stars of the small and big screen, The Golden Globes is typically very relaxed with lots of champagne and laughter flowing freely.

At Lulu HQ, however, it’s all about the red carpet glamour and most notably; the on duty beauty looks from our favourite celebrities. And this years crop, besides a few unmentionable misses, were completely on point.

This year the big trends were bushy brows, layers of lashes, minimalist skin and bright lips. Read on for our beauty round up of The Golden Globes 2016 and how you can achieve these stylish celebrity looks yourself!

BUSHY BROWS
Bushy brows make you appear younger, and celebs everywhere, such as Rooney Mara, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Lily James, are showing that strong, extreme brows are showing us how it’s done! To bring thickness to your brows, we suggest going straight to brow expert Anastasia Beverly Hills for their Brow Kit, DipBrow, or Brow Gel for bushy brow beginners.

LAYERS OF LASHES
At Lulu HQ we LOVE long, natural looking lashes. And this year, celebs such as JLo, Taraji Henson and Jamie Alexander brought this trend home without being too OTT. To get layers of lashes, we suggest You’re My Wing Woman lashes by Velour Lashes, Lash Serum by Grande Lash-MD, and Brush on Fibre Lashes by Cherry Blooms.

MINIMALIST SKIN
Alicia Vikander, Emilia Clarke and Cate Blanchett decided to show off their natural complextions but opting in for a light foundation, illuminator and blush. At Lulu HQ we know dewy, minimalist skin starts with skincare, so we suggest Auyrda Silver Gel, Aplha H Liquid Gold and Africology Absolute Rose Serum.

BRIGHT LIPS
Celebs such as Jennifer Lawrence, Amber Heard and Rachel McAdams paid homage to their colourful designer dresses by making them pop with a bright red lip. To achieve their lashings of rouge, we suggest Laqa & Co in Mixtape, Gerard Cosmetics in Passion Play and Jeffree Star in Red Rum.
